Q. What is Irritable Bowel Syndrome IBS?
IBS is a condition that can include abdominal pain, intestinal spasms, bloating, diarrhoea and / or constipation. Symptoms can vary in intensity from relatively minor to very severe and will almost certainly affect your quality of daily life. Other symptoms can include tiredness, nausea, backache and bladder problems - such as passing urine frequently or experiencing a sense of urgency.

IBS is diagnosed by first ruling out any other potential problems - your doctor will offer you a blood test and may refer you to a specialist. If you are diagnosed with another intestinal disorder such as Crone's Disease or Colitis, there may be an element of IBS that could contribute to the severity of those symptoms.

Q. Will you be able to help me? 
I use the same treatment strategies that are being used in pioneering NHS clinics - with symptom reduction and improvement achieved in around 95% of cases. Usually, there is an immediate improvement after the 1st session, which continues and increases in subsequent sessions (typically 3 to 8 sessions to gain maximum benefit).
